All,

Can someone recommend initial ignition timing, point dwell, and point gap for a 9:1 compression 350 with stock points distributor, ’69 Z/28 302 camshaft, 750 vac sec holley carb, 186 heads, and ’69 Z/28 intake manifold? Thanks.

I am not too sure how this combo will run. The 30-30 needs higher static compression to run right. Your dynamic compression will be very low. Standard hipo sb chev timing is 36* total in by say 2800 rpm. Point dwell is 28 - 32*

I just went through the same exercise with my 69 Z and found that 10* initial and 34* all in timing seem to work well for my car. My car is a 302 with stock z parts.
