Just wanted to let you guys in on an easyway
to get those rear bodymount bolts out after
two days getting the pass. side out then
replacing full floorpan I said their has got
to be an easier way to get that bolt out this
is what I did. First I took a propane torch
and heated the cagednut then took air gun blew any debris from around the treads next
put more heat to it let it cool a little
then sprayed it real good with B'LASTER great
stuff next I put a 15/16 box end and small
length of pipe on end for leverage turned
bolt noticed nut turned inside cage bending
cage upward took a hammer and small chisel
broke 2 small spot welds loose that hold the
cage around the nut then pulled bent up cage out of inside seatmount with pliers went to
toolbox ask myself what can I hold that darn
rectangle shapped nut with looked down there
was this old 6" pipe wrench I went back to car and turned the nut so the small end was
to the front/rear of car slipped the 6" pipe
wrench into the center slot of seat mount wrench lays completly inside seatmount opened fully just fit over end of nutput wrench/pipe on bolt had to push with my feet
(impact wrench would not move it) after a
couple turns came on out all in less than
45mins. Hope this helps ya'll out I know it
made my day..Jeff
