Is there a way to check part numbers or castings to see if a power steering box is quick ratio? The unit is not on the car, so I can't count the steering wheel revolutions. Also, are there build dates on these?

The unit will still turn the 2 1/4 turns lock to lock.

I don't beleive there is a lock, if its not in the car. Build dates are on the top cover julian date and model year. Mine is 1049 for the 104th day of 1969. Roughly April 15th 1969.
