Solid body mount reportedly lower the body 1/2 inch on the sub-frame assembly. Does this cause any problems aligning the fenders to the doors? More shims needed on fender top mounting location?
Thanks

Thanks freezined Jul 13th, 06, 05:48 PM You can purchase solid body mounts in stock height or 1/2 height. baz67 Jul 13th, 06, 08:04 PM No, but it can cause trans. and/or air cleaner to hood clearance issues. BPOS Jul 14th, 06, 09:54 AM I just installed solid bushings yesterday (stock height) - no change at all. The fenders attach to the unibody, not to the subframe. If you stick to the stock height bushings, you should be OK. If you go with the shorter ones, as mentioned, keep an eye on your hood clearance, your fan to shroud clearance, and the alignment/height/clearance of your front bumper. baz67 Jul 14th, 06, 02:24 PM No, but it can cause trans. and/or air cleaner to hood clearance issues. I should add this applies only to 1/2 height mounts. The stock height keep everything the same. |
