My pump motor wasn't working so I took the top of the motor off. The inside was really snug but loosend up while spinning it.Is there something to put in the hole to lube it up in there. I think it will be good to go if it is lubricated.
Also what is the trick to keeping the brushes back while reassembling the top piece?
Thanks John

I've never taken a top motor apart, but there may be a small hole you can stick a drill bit into to lock the brush holders out.
Which hole? the small rubber plug in the top of the pump? That's where you put the hydraulic oil. Do a search, either bpos or djd have posted some pretty good info on filling and bleeding power top systems.

You need two needle nose vise grips. The angled ones work best. Slide one brush into its holder and adjust the vise grip so it just holds it in place. Slide the opposite brush into its holder and use the other visse grip to hold it. Now you should be able to slide the commutator in and release the brushes. Good Luck.
