: Auction 67 chevelle on Wed. ideas? price?
click Jul 17th, 06, 11:18 AM I might hop over to this auction on Wed. afternoon about 2 hours away to see a 67 chevelle 2 door coupe. It has 283, powerglide on the column, supposedly original engine and tranny, one owner farmer, 88,000 miles on it. Been in his storage barn for its whole life, but now he's selling the farm and everything else. SN # 136177K102866
What might some of you consider a good deal on this car?
Wish there were more pics but this was all thats on the auction website.

TJS69 Jul 17th, 06, 12:43 PM Click,
That photo is not of a '69. That is a '67 ? Not 100% sure on that. That still looks like a good car though. Good Luck. Tom
click Jul 17th, 06, 12:58 PM oops you are right Tom thanks for the heads up, I have 69itus. :)
DjD Jul 17th, 06, 01:25 PM oops you are right Tom thanks for the heads up, I have 69itus. :)
Let's keep it clean Jim... ;)
Looks like a nice find, go through the ads on the chevelle site and maybe ebay (keeping in mind asking prices and bidding may show higher than typical prices) . Then keep in mind the what will it cost to make it the way you want it when you look the car over before bidding... Trust your instinct and go from there... That's my favorite year of Chevelle by the way...
MrDanB Jul 17th, 06, 01:31 PM Click, I see them in that type of shape go for 7+k here in Seattle!! The best way to find a reasonable price imho, would be to use ebay's "completed auctions" function. Look at the auctions that have already ended and then you will see a list of cars that sold (in green print) and didn't sell (in red print)
I love this feature and use it often. Good luck on the car. It's MY favorite year as well!!
Dano:thumbsup:
p.s. how's the mosquito bites doing ;)
136679ss Jul 17th, 06, 06:29 PM Jim, is the car near you? I have a 67 and can give you some better ideas if I had explodeable views, any better detailed pics? 88k one owner miles 283 with a glide, clean from the two you've shown but more would be better. I would say 3-4K range would not be out of the question, but totally dependant upon condition obviously. Jason.
zuma Jul 17th, 06, 06:53 PM Jim, If there is minimal rust issues, around 5k would be a good deal IMHO. It does look pretty straight from those two pictures. 66-67 are my favorite also. I wonder if you can get rid of those wing windows...;)
Everett#2390 Jul 17th, 06, 06:55 PM The Chevelles rusted in the same places Camaros do, rear window. I think it's a nice find. It might even have the clear sewn plastic seat covers popular back then.
click Jul 17th, 06, 07:26 PM the car is 2 hours away and the auction is this Wed. Im thinking of running there to check it out. I got this info. on decoding at chevelles site:
