Hello everyone,

I would like to get any opinions on which you would prefer. im sure most here, have the stock Camaro restored as close to original as possible..which is great.. ..but i have floaded over to the "dark side" ..;) ..(thats where i wanted to be) anyways ..reguardless if you approve of a blown engine in a Camaro or anything ..i wanted to know if you like to see a or any scoop or just two small air cleaners where you could see the carbs. better?...Thank-you

For the "baddest" effect, the blower must be bare.

Personally I prefer a wolf in sheep's clothing but, if your going to show it you better flaunt it.

haha, the wolf in sheeps clothing is more suited to a turbo setup, it's darned hard to hide dual quads on top of a polished 6-71!!!

I've seen a what I think was a 471 on a small block with a single card under a cowl hood on a Nova. Now granted it was a 4" cowl but, you could also use a centrifugal supercharger. Plus there's always fuel injection.

I have a hillborn style scoop on my engine with no blower. I was hoping it would fit under my cowl hood that is probly the largest cowl hood available. Well it don't.
Its an inch too tall for that hood.

So I'm going to buy another hood that will be flat with a hole in the center for the scoop.
Where is the best place to find a hood that is already set up like that?

I don't know how to properly cut and prepare fibre glass, let alone put the holes for the hood pins in the right places, so it would be nice to find one already prepared.

A scoop through the hood looks much cooler than a couple of air cleaners, IMO, especially since they would need to be the small air cleaners, which I dont really like.

This fits under a 2" cowl induction hood with only cutting a small amount of bracing under the hood.
