69camarofast Jul 19th, 06, 09:55 PM a friend of mine just sent me this e-mail from the people that are in charge of the car show:
Trailers: Vehicles brought in on/in a trailer can be off loaded inside the park in designated areas. ALL trailers and tow vehicles must be parked behind Kearney mansion p rior to gates opening to the public.
Ice Chests: Ice chests will be allowed to all auto entrants only and not the general public so we ask that you keep it in or with your vehicle at all times.
Group Parking: If you would like to park with friends please arrive at the same time together. We cannot guarantee placement together if you do not. If you are waiting for someone else to arrive please do so outside the entrance gate so you don’t hold up traffic onto the grounds.
E-Z Ups/Tents: Bring ‘em! There are a lot of trees for shade but just in case bring your E-Z Up if you’ve got it. Lawns chairs and blankets are ok too.
Directions: Please check www.fresnorocknrod.com for directions/map.
Kids: We have added a Kidz’ Zone this year located just East of Kearney Mansion with bounce houses, rides and games! So bring the family!
The show is scheduled to end around 9:15pm. Please proceed with caution when exiting the park and drive safely! Thanks again for being a part of our event…we couldn’t do it without you and hope you have a great day!
Scott Taylor Jul 20th, 06, 10:12 AM That's good news. Basically, if my ice chest isn't welcome, I figure I'm not welcome either. It especially pisses me off when the show sponsors don't allow alcohol to be brought in, and then try to sell you a 16 ounce beer for $7.50.

Hey - where were you last sunday? I had a cold one with your name on it in the cooler...

Scott, are you going?
Yes ice chests are for people displayng cars. What you put in your ice chest is up to you. there are no ice chest police there. I have been for the last 6 years and it is a great day. The heat is a problem for some. But for $5 for the public to have 7 bands and 600+ cars is fun!

Are you coming?
Scott Taylor Jul 20th, 06, 01:57 PM Gary, no I'm not going to be able to make it down there. I'd be about medium/rare by the time I arrived.
Dennis, I had planned to go until Friday night when the wife gave me the infamous "we never do anything as a family anymore". And, no she wasn't amused by my offer to bring her and the kids along.
Farm Boy Jul 20th, 06, 03:00 PM Are you coming?
I would like to make it but the weatherman is predicting a high of 110˚ with unhealthy air quality on Saturday. I will be politically correct and “spare the air” by staying home.

Farm Boy Aug 14th, 06, 02:34 PM My son and I had a real good time at the car show in Fresno yesterday. It was well organized and there was no entry fee. A good percentage of the cars in attendance were 60’s muscle. I enjoyed bench racing with Chris and Gary. It’s always fun meeting fellow TC members!
Gary L Aug 14th, 06, 07:06 PM Chris, why is the picture always in front of your car?
