View Full Version : I'm officially a greenie
MAXIMUM69 Jul 19th, 06, 08:57 PM Finally got moved from Salt Lake to Castle Rock, CO. It was a hellish experience, but I survived and, as they say, "That which does not kill us will ony make us stronger"! Anywho - we're happy to be here.
Hello to all the fellow Coloradans - looking forward to hitting the shows. Heading to Reno in a couple of weeks, then planning to hit the Super Chevy Show this fall. Are there any other good shows coming up?
nikkisdad Jul 19th, 06, 10:37 PM Salt Lake will be less one Camaro guy, but Colorado just got a golf club swinging, Camaro luvin, computer geek! I peeked at your personal file.................lol
Ghostbuster Jul 20th, 06, 09:10 AM Welcome to Colorado Maximum69..
(well, It's about time..... jk. :D )
Congrats on your move.. :beers:
Sorry for the sweltering heat, but it sounds like that's everywhere..
JetSkis are a great way to beat the heat, finding water is the problem.
I'm a computer geek too, I telecomute nights, play golf and work on my '68 during the day..
Last night I spent several hours in Lindon, Utah rebuilding a DNS server.
(gotta love that remote control..)
Several Car shows coming up, I'll try to make you a list..
Lots of car clubs and gearheads around Castle Rock.
I'm just north of Chatfield Res., a few blocks from Clement Park, (near Columbine HS), Huge Carshow coming here in Sept..
I hope to see you there.
Colorado has lots of inexpensive public golf courses, but I've found that
tech companies like to give Golf outings as perks..
Some expensive places to golf you can suggest to your boss..
Castle Pines
Arrowhead
Inverness
Cherry Creek
Steamboat
AspenLet me know when you get settled, maybe we can hit a few balls around.

Littleton, Colorado
P.S. - I don't understand, "I'm officially a greenie".
Does that mean you are a "Tree-Hugger"

MAXIMUM69 Jul 20th, 06, 07:46 PM mike - sorry I never got to come see your '68 before my departure. Take care of that L89 and keep that UT crowd in line for me, will ya?
Ghostbuster - thanks for the welcome. Just out of curousity - do you drive an SUV that has GHOSTBUSTER pasted all over it? The term greenie comes from wyomingites and uthans that call coloradans greenie due to the green license plates. As far as the golf outing - sounds great, but the problem is that I am the boss, therefore I would have to pay for it :D.
ZZ430DropTop67RS Jul 20th, 06, 08:02 PM Welcome to Colorado Maximum.
But I have to admit, I had never heard of the "Greenie" thing either...lol...and I'm a native.
There are tons of shows around, I just don't go them much any more. Maybe just Super Chevy, Firefighters and those.
Try to find "The Latest Scoop" . It's a monthly publication that lists all the events in the area.
02 camaro Jul 20th, 06, 09:08 PM welcome to colorado! im in arvada! next month at bandimire is an american grafiti show
Ghostbuster Jul 27th, 06, 11:37 PM Ghostbuster ...do you drive an SUV that has GHOSTBUSTER pasted all over it?
LOL, no, it's not me..
..but if I ever found an old white ambulance station-wagon,
I'd put Ghostbuster stickers on that..
