Boy did St. Louis get hit by a storm last night!!

We were at the Airport Crowne Plaza at I-70 and Lindbergh and the power went off around 7:45 PM or so AND was still off when we left at 11:30 AM the next morning!! Talk about a mess!!!

We were at the MACC Mtg presenting air rules..

I told my Boss that my second Son was picking me up to take me to see his "new" place he's getting instead of going to dinner with everybody and when we got back, WOW!!

We went to see his place and afterwards we went to "J. Bucks" for dinner and as we were leaving, it got dark, the wind came up and "hold on Sally, hold on"!!

I've got to corral his older Brother and we both need to help him get his new place in order if you know what I mean, but hopefully after the 100+ degree temp's fall back to something decent! Hotter than a firecracker out there today!!

My Boss's, Boss's, Boss told me this morning early that they had to watch out for the roof that flew over I-70 from the airport, plus tree's down!!

I'm not gonna forget this MACC Mtg. trip for a LOOOONG time!!

I was at work with my ear plugs in and the radio up loud. I got home and spoke with my mom and asked her if it had rained that night. She thought I was crazy. I had no idea it was that bad.

Still got it. I've been working so much I haven't had time to do anything with it. Although if prices keep going up I may sell and pay my house off.

That same storm came directly over us about 30 minutes later but we didn't get the rain. We sure as heck got the wind as it blew trees down and broke out a lot of limbs. My yard is still a mess because it was way too hot to go out and clean it up the next day. Our cable TV was out for a day also. It was a shame though with all the wind and lightning we only got dampened by the rain. We are really dry here and needed that rain. My folks live about 10 miles south of me and they got several inches of rain from that storm along with a lot of wind damage.
