Hello Team,
I’m looking at purchasing a set of Hoosier Prostreet Radials for my 69 (I like the appearance of these tires). The Front tires I’m interested in have a max Load Weight of 965 LBS. My 69 is an aluminum head 502 with an aluminum BeCool radiator. Would the 965 LBS load fact work in my application or is my car to heavy for these tires. I’m a bit lost when it comes time to figuring out weight and load capacities.
Thanks all, Joe

Two of them are rated to hold up the weight of 1930 pounds so you need to see how much the front of your car actually weighs so you will know for sure!
I will say this tho, that, (I think??), most little-bitty skinny hi-po front tires are usually 6-ply rated just so they have a good load carrying safety margin..

At that load rating your good to go for a two ton Camaro. Not to many of these were built so I would say you are covered so long as you follow recommended wheel width and inflation pressure.

Sure sounds like a small tire when most 235x60's are in the range of 1600# per tire ( 700 kg) . Guess you are reading lbs and not Kg ?

I remember back when guys put VW, (the first), beatle tires on the fronts to get that "big-n-little" look!! It was darn right scarey to think about it they were so dinky!!
They were 5.60-15, (modern 155R15), jobbers.....................

Thanks all!!
I'm going to give the Hoosiers a try. The measurements are...
26x7.50x15 on a 6" rim. Dia = 25.9 Width= 7.5 Tread= 5.3. I'll let everyone know how I make out. Thanks :)

Joe you'll be fine, many 68 Camaros came from the factory with 7.50 x 14 tires on 6 inch rims. I know yours are 15 inch rims but I would not worry one second about running them.
