it takes me about 4-5 hours to cut a complete body, to its very core structures, by using a sawzall..

Try using an air powered cut off wheel. They do very well for metal work cutting and allow you good control. That's what I have used in the past.

I am by no means an expert.. but I have done all you are looking to do, and more. I practically replaced all sheet metal on my car. Most GM. I used an electric grinder with a cut off wheel. It worked better than my air angle grinder. I did my full quarters first, one at a time, then the trunk then the floor then I screwed up and found some weak spots on my outer rockers. (told you ..no expert) I thought they were good. I ended up replacing them but the quarerts were already welded in so I had to cut the rocker up and butt weld them under the sil plate. It came out nice and I feel better. My inners were ok after a little fabrication. Once I had this all opened up I treated the inner and outers with POR15 so it would last (I hope). I Have alot of pics of my 67's open heart surgery. If you need any I can email them to you.

Get a good spotweld drill bit.
