I think Im gonna tackle this project myself, I did a ton of searching here and the two questions I have are:

How far in from the binder clips around the perimitter do you spray adhesive? Is it just on the lip where it folds back? You dont spray the entire surface between the bows - right?

How much material do you leave in the channel?

This info worked great for me.
Also it helps to hang it in direct sun for a while to warm it up and loosen up the box wrinkles.
