Hello to all , i am thinking of upgrading my throttle assemblie .
LOKAR PERFORMANCE PRODUCTS offers a throttle assemblie through summit racing products # LOK-TC-1000HT Lokar Throttle Cables. this would be a nice touch to my sb chevy , but i am stuck on how to attach the gas pedal to the end of the above part # LOK-TC-1000HT . This throttle cable system goes through the firewall then attatches to the gas pedal , but as you all know the original gas pedal system attatches to a rod on the outside of the firewall .
Is ther a gas pedel system to attatch to the LOKAR PART LISTED ABOVE ? PLEASE HELP .
ADVICE NEEDED , THANKS

If I am understanding you correctly you will need to purchase the Lokar Billet Gas Pedal, BAG6096. Before you do are you planning on running the Lokar kickdown cable? It makes for a pretty nice looking/functional setup?

Oh yeah when you install thr throttle cable take your time when you drill the hole in the firewall, or you may end up with an extra ine like I did!

I used the pedal Rocketrod did. Works great. I also have the Lokar kickdown cable. They sell a bracket that bolts to you carb base. It holds both the cables and the return spring. I recommend picking that up. It makes installation at the carb a snap.

You can also use the factory 6 cylinder pedal or a pedal from a mid year Nova, Omega, Ventura. I found one in the pick a part for 5 bucks. Look for the cars with throttle cables and it mounts just like the factory ones on the firewall but is held in with a " C " clip. It also has a rod bracket on the top of the pedal for the cable to hook to.

Rocketrod Thanks for the info , I found the lokar gas pedal you were talking about ( LOK-BAG6096 ) ,In looking at the gas pedal i noticed the arm where the throttle cable connects to , I want to know how long that arm is , and concerned that it will not be long enough to acheve a straight pull , I dont want to pull the throttle cable at a angle . Thanks again for the info and keep it coming ,

Jaker, I used the Lokar universal pedal on this 69 so that it's a straighter pull.

I'm also using the cable you mentioned.

Let me know if you need more pics.
