Ive heard of guys using doble sided tape for chrome moulding and trim instead of the clips. They say this prevents the molding from moving around and scratching the paint They also say it makes for a better fit. Any one ever try this? Thanks in advance MARKO

Personally I've never been happy using two faced tape on clip style moldings. The molding tape works great if you have enough surface area on the moldings, but most moldings that had clips are basically hollow and therefore don't have much of a surface to attach the tape to.

I agree with Austin. For the most part, clip style mouldings are more of a pain to install but if you take your time and install them correctly, they won't move around at all without some outside influence. Another matter to consider is the thickness of the double sided tape. For a purest, that thickness would be unacceptable.

Use T-Bolts instead of the clips. These have a threaded shaft and you put a nut on the back side. Some places are a pain to get to however. Doors are a piece of cake.
