Noob here... Where would I post a question on getting opinions on the value of a 69 Camaro I found? BTW I do own a '05 Corvette, and am the previous owner of two '69 Camaros. Thanks, Kevin

Welcome to Team camaro.... I think you have the right section for this post... The guys on here are a great help in all things Camaro, but it would help everyone if you posted as much detail as possible about the car and include pics if possible.

OK here goes. It's a 69 coupe, ZZ4 crate motor with 614 miles. TH 350 transmission. Original 12 bolt rear end changed out to a 10 bolt. Came Hugger Orange, re-painted light blue, but great paint job. Interior an 8. Body was undercoated, no rust or bondo, no evidence of being wrecked. I suspect it may have started life as an SS. Owner has not driven it in a year, says he wanted to replace the wiring harness, but due to family problem never did. He also has original rally wheels. I do have pics if that would help. Thanks, Kevin

The market is a funny and hard to predict place. Prices are all over the place ,but '69s always command big money. I recently sold a primer '69 smallblock project car for 10k. It needed a lot of work but looked cool .And i just sold a really nice driver '69 SS 396 clone for 19k. I was happy with both sales, but you just never know.
Throw on some pics and i'm sure you'll get a lot of opinions.
My guess.......12-15k.

Without any evidence, I wouldn't assume it started out as an SS. What did you see that made you think it was an SS? Unusual for the owner to swap out a 12-bolt for a 10-bolt.

Does that top left pic show rust on the passenger door edge and a bubble in the paint? The color looks to be LeMans blue now.

Does it run?

I only have a hunch about the SS. It originally had a 12 bolt rear end, I believe a 350 cu.in.engine, TH 350 transmission, tilt wheel, and I am going to look at the original Rally wheels that if I understand correctly the SS had 15x7 fronts and 15x6 rears. If I'm correct SS's had all this. No real evidence, just wondering. I'll post more pics tomorrow. Kevin

Well, after trying to work a deal for this car, I gave up and came home. The owner wouldn't budge off $19,000. The thing I really liked about it was with the exception of the two very small spots of rust, the body and interior were in really good shape. He did leave the door open and I have a feeling he will contact me soon to re-consider my offer. We'll see...

I think I would have walked away at 19K, judging from the photos. You're buying a plane jane coupe with rust issues, nothing more without proof. You can do better than that for that type of cashola, IMHO.........KZ

Yea, that's me on corvetteforum.com, I also own a C6. They have a F-body discussion forum and I was wanting their opinions also. I'm fixin to send the owner a letter telling him my offer is still good in case he wants to re-consider. Kevin
