whats the best way to clean a vinyle top?

Trim shop told me to just use mild soap and water and elbow grease and then put baby oil on it.
I was warned NOT to use armourall etc. on because it will eventually soak thru and separate from the adhesive.
Sorry! This advice is for a vinyl top coupe not a convertible. Forgot what section I was in!!

I use Renovo products to clean my top. I was very impressed with it. I have a canvas top and used the restore product and got great results.They also have products for vinyl. Here's the link http://www.renovousa.com

Go to the grocery store and buy Mr Clean Magic eraser. A Friend did it on his 7000 orig mile ZL1 white Vinyl top and it was amazing how well and easy it worked.
