I just bought a left and right inner and outer wheel wells and full quarters from NPD and I have never installed full quarters before but I have had my share of sheet metal work and I think the fit is horrible.
The innerrs were perfect the outers would not line up with the QP if it was in its proper location but turn it clockwise a half inch and all lines up good except at the rocker but it is close enough to be acceptable. I have heard you had to massage these things but I am just about to the point of cutting and reshaping things to get the proper lines.
Has anyone had experience with these and what tips can you offer other than finding a factory quarter? If this was 20 years ago I would probably have cut it up and sold what I could. But with 16 grand into it and I am starting with little more than a shell I need to get it right!

Develop a TON of patience for starters. These will take some serious massaging. I am on my second side now. The first side still isn't all the way on. We are doing a little at a time. We ended up having to roll in the lip of the wheel well to get things to line up. The outer wheel well seems to be the hot point on both sides. We chose to fit the wheel wells to the quarter panels because they are hidden for the most part. Pics are in the signature.
We cut the sail off one side and left it on the second. The side without the sail went on better because we didn't have to mess with fitting that portion. However, the side with the sail looks better but we are struggling with it.

Thats funny..almost, because I already had veiwed your pictures. I must have found them in another post. I am glad I am not alone and I can blame the metal more than myself. Unfortunetly I am not long on patience but at least I have my own shop to work in and no one has to duck when I'm loosen my cool. Not like the early days when I work at the dealer and they didn't appreciated that kind of thing. Its a stress releaver but sometimes it can get a little expensive. Live and learn.

Not bad...you are lucky enough to have a shop. Wish I did. We are doing mine in my garage, and I have to share space with hubby's Nomad.
We took a rubber mallot to the rolled edge of the well and rolled it tighter. It didn't change the look at all, but did make it a lot easier to slide the 1/4 into place. If you aren't getting enough give, let me know and I'll ask hubby what else he did, (he was on vacation and I was at work). We are currently struggling with one of his errors now....but the lower part slides almost into place and when all is done, won't be noticed.

To hot to work out there during the week this time of year. I live in SW Florida in the Everglades and the heat is second only to the bugs. I'll be out there all day Friday and Saturday trying to get the drivers side finish so I can start over on the passangers side. Right now I only dry fit the quarter as soon as my new rear shows up I'll set in on the suspension to dial it all in. Keep the stories coming its great motavation!
