Does anyone know which Moroso p/n: works for a '67 with stock BBC mounts?

What does Moroso say??

I used poly on mine. And the three hole tranny poly mount with my motor on BB frame mounts but on my SB's stick cross member by just kicking it over and using one bolt through the middle poly mount hole through the pass. side cross member hole. Works fine..

PS. ,and don't use all steel mounts or you might break a tranny b/h??

I've recently done a lot of research on motor mounts. Your 67 BBC mounts should be 2-5/8" wide.
The correct Moroso motor mount would be the #62530. Notes say that if you switch to solid mounts, you need to do the transmission mount solid also.
The energy suspension mount for the 67 is the "short and wide" model #3.1114 for zinc coated. This is what I installed on my 67 BBC mounts.
Take care,
Scott

Thank you Scott. This is exactly the info I'm looking for.

I don't know about what engine mounts to use but a solid tranny mount is a generally accepted "big no-no."

... unless you want to break the trans case when the car twists.

You should keep the stock trans mount with solid motormounts.

Agree!

I use stock interlock engine mounts with a chain on the drivers side from the head to the frame. And I use a poly mount on the trans to let things move just a bit.

I agree with Eric68, if one installs solid engine mounts, one should install an OE trans mount, or rear engine mount.

This method allows a stress relief path from the trans case into the mount and transferred to the crossmember and ends up on the frame rails.

Seen a Mopar friend break three of 727 cases at the bell housing/case, all solidly mounted. I suggested to him to reinstall the OE mount. Case never broke again.

I installed only the driver's side solid mount and left the other mounts OE.

i have heard that installing two solid motor mounts can actually cost power, due to cylinder wall distortion on the "pull" side or drivers side. anyone measured this?

You might be right but it also costs you HP when your engine climbs out of the engine compartment.

You guys know Waaay more about this than I do. I was just relaying what I had read regarding the transmission mount. Here is the quote from Moroso:
"NOTE: Solid Transmission Mounts must be used in conjunction with Solid Motor Mounts to prevent breakage of engine block and transmission case due to torsional stress."

Let's do an experiment.

I've already seen what happens and got-er-done to correct it.

Read my posts earlier. I'll watch from the sidelines and prevent the drinks from getting warm while watching...............

Everett,
You were right on the money. I emailed Moroso last week about the note on their website to see what they said. Here is the cut/paste from the email I received for everyone's benefit:
"Moroso Tech Service

We recommend running solid engine mounts whenever a solid transmission mount
is used. But solid engine mounts can be used without a solid tranny mount. We
normally recommend running a set of our solid engine mounts with a urethane
transmission mount. Unless engine limiters are used to control the amount of
flex/twisting/stress found upon the bellhousing."

The note on the website ought to reflect this idea more specifically in my opinion...

Great to have such a group of knowledgeable people around.
