I have a 67RS and I’m looking to improve the front end for better handling
etc. I have heard that the sub-frame from a 77 Trans-Am will work with
the modification of the front cab mounts. The benefits are a bigger sway
bar, better steering and of course DISC BRAKES… Is it worth the effort?
Any info on this or other cheap modifications for improvements would be
appreciated.

I don't think it is as easy as a swap as you might think. I have never heard of this being done. It may be possible but if it was easy to do I don't think the aftermarket would make custom front subframes for the first generation cars but not second.

In my opinion, the best way to go would be to look into one of the late great Art Rasmussen's sub-frames. Here is the link::

His sub-frame kit has been featured in a couple of different mags. and I have heard nothing but good things about it. Good luck.
