i know this can vary much but i was wondering what would be a fair and average price for

r&r 2 quarters i think they were 80%

r&r center trunk pan

r&r left and right trunk floor extensions

r&r left and right trunk drop offs

r&r left and right outer wheel houses

r&r tail panel

and the dash panel

and rebuild door hinges and rehang the doors,

and weld a small patch in the window channel approx 4 inches one in front and one on the rear

all chrome and door panels and winsheild and rear window, bumpers were already removed,

all this work was done and is in primer now,

i supplied nothing

this is a 69 camaro and had very little rust except the dash that was alot of bondo over rust, quarters i had redone becuase it had skins on there from 10 yrs ago that were just tacked on using brazing and tons of bondo over that, trunk had few holes and tail panel had been pushed in from previous accident under bumper and had thick bondo on one side

thanks
Bill

Im gonna go with $3500 labor + parts. If its less then i believe you scored. The days of cheap bodywork are over. The question is the quality. Whas it done to your liking ?? If so then thats priceless.

Bob i know its not cheap nowadays, i am still doing my chevellle and its been 4 yrs now did most myself, the camaro i am having someone else do or it will never get done, for all that work posted above my bill is about 7k so far to date. just trying to see if its in the ballpark.

That seems a little high....but is it ready to paint,or just "in" primer ?
what does he want to carry it thru to paint ?

Aside from the cost are you happy with the work ?? Ive fixed three cars this year alone that people already paid to have done. Seems to be a flurry of "MASTER TECHs" out there.

bob i thought it was a little high also, im happy with the work so far,

the fenders and hood still have to be installed, i supplied all that new, the cowl door jambs and fenders are already cut in in hugger orange the doors back are primered but im sure it needs to be blocked, he told me it would be approx total $12 to $12,500 painted hugger orange with stripes.

You get what you pay for usually. Most people think that body work is easy, far from it. It's not only what it looks like on the outside but what it looks like under the paint and replacement parts. I would have charged you around 5 or 6K doing it on the side. But when I was done it would have all the factory spot welds and MIG'ed on in as few spots as possible. A smooth wheel opening to me looks fake, it is supposed to have spot welds.

You are very close to what it would cost to get it done with us. Like my friend real, I was coming in a bit less, but that could be a geographical thing also
