At 3:00PM today I walked into my bodyshop and there it was all painted and in the process of being wet sanded and buffed. I'm so excited. I have never driven the car other than in the driveway in the 8 months I have owned it. It Won't be long now. He promised me I could have it on Saturday.

The car is a 69 RS code 51 Dusk blue with a white vinyl roof and deluxe blue interior. I really think this is going to be a sharp looking car.

Does anyone have a good clear picture of a code 51 dusk blue 69? The car was inside the shop but I thought the blue looked very dark.

Now I'm really excited, My bodyshop called me this morning to make sure I drop of the Vinyl top and mouldings as well as the windshield, back window and trim. Still says I can have the car back by Saturday afternoon.

Good news! I got the car home on Saturday afternoon as promised and It looks great, I'm very happy with the paint and the body lines. I spent Sunday installing emblems, lights and moldings. Still lots of stuff to do!

Not so good news. As I stated this was the first time since buying the car I actually got to drive it and although it runs good it kept popping out of third gear. I hope it is a linkage adjustment issue.
