When you say striped you maen the hex part of the plug and not the threaded hole of the cylinder head?

Which plug?
and how much room do have to work?

If possible can you find a slightly larger socket? on an extention try to hammer it on. The plug is 5/8 socket which would be almost the same as a 16mm so if you try use a 17mm in the edge of the hex it may catch enough to get it out.

You'll have to be creative, try a 12 point it wont fit as tight as a 6 point. Cheap china sockets are never exact and you may find one that fits plus you may have to cut it down if you need the room and a china socket would be they way to go.

You can try jacking the car up and pulling the wheel off and go in through the wheelwell. With the suspension hanging you may get to.

Hope this helps and Good Luck!

Well put the bong away for a while and don't take to drilling out the plug... The last thing you want is to have shavings get into the cylinder. Start by soaking the plug with some penetrating oil... Spray it around the outer edges of what's left of the hex head on the spark plug. Go work on the freeze plug problem and come back in a few hrs and spray some more.

There are some tools that will bite down on just about anything if there is room to use them. A pipe wrench is one of them. Worst case is a hammer and chisel and try to get the chisel placed so it wants to push the nut around when you tap it with the hamer.

Hang in there, just don't do anything to damage the head or other components...

The original post's name has the word "Ganja" in it. Probably not a reference to some forgotten star wars character....

Might try the Gator grip socket. It seemed to be designed for just such a situation.

I'm not trying to push a brand here or anything but sometimes a snap-on socket will work wonders. Something about their "flank drive"

420 is the code the police (supposedly, but not confirmed) use when they find another genius smoking pot. Kids in the school I teach in have it plastered on their notebooks and even written on their jeans, like we don't know what it means. They "think" it makes them look cool.

I was guessing the original poster was high based on the grammar and sentence structure, without having even looked at his name.

FWIW, I too broke a plug off in my Explorer a few years ago. I heated it up with a torch, and then beat a smaller sized socket over the end, and it came right out. YMMV.
