We just bought another camaro a nearly finished project. It's a 68 and my husband has said that I could decided on the interior, He always picks black. Since I was the one who love the exterior color which is Hugger orange with white racing stripes down the hood and trunk, I know neither is correct for a 68 but then not much about the car is correct. So we are going to keep the color. My question is this I have compared the front seats to the ones in our 67 and 69 and they seem to be the same. Yes No? What I want to do is install 69 hugger orange houndstooth covers on the 68 seats. Will this work? Also my husband wants the armrests to stay in the back so another question. I have learned from our other 2 cars that the seats with the armrests are smaller than the seats without the armrest. So I guess my question is do they make the hugger orange interior with armrest covers? Or just for the standard seat with no armrest. What color are the door panels for the cars with the orange interior? Also another question. If I can't go with the orange interior I would like to do parchment. BUT I don't like the black stripe in it. Do you think that an interior kit from a 68 firebird would fit? Like I said not much about this car is right anyway so I figure if I'm going to be the one to drive it then I'd like to do it to what I would like. It's got a 68 camaro 327 in it (it was a 6 cylinder) and I want my husband to take out the powerglide and but in a muncie 4 speed. Kinda of a mongrel but it sure is pretty.

67 and 69 seats are different. You can call one of the Camaro parts warehouse like Classic Industries or Rick's First Gen. They could probably put you right where you need to be. If it were me, I would go with white houndstooth to pull the white stripes in. Good luck on your quest.
