Thanks for the kind words - clone it is! I always liked the RS option better than the standard, and 20 years after buying the car, I decided it was time. Near as I can tell, RS isn't coded anywhere on the trim tag, so I don't consider it butchering a desireable car. Of course, anyone looking for a "true" RS could tell the diff in about 2 seconds, but I tried to be faithful at least external-wise, and I doubt it hurts the value of the car - probably helps it.
Angel - I did indeed buy that guy's plans, but went about it completely differently. His plans, while good, call for cutting off the bottom of the bellcrank and attaching the motor directly to what's left, directly below the headlamp housing. I got this idea from Lukewarm who posts here occaisionally, and then modified his idea a bit. As you can see, nothing is done to the bellcrank at all except for removing the overcenter spring. The motor is the same as the e-bay guy. The nice thing about doing it it this way is that you don't need to dismantle the front end of the car - removing the battery and tray plus the washer bottle is as far as you need to go.
The doors will be opened and closed with the stock headlight switch. Lukewarm provided a link to a simple timing circuit that will accomplish the task. I'm waiting for my brother (Ron498 on this board) to build it for me.
I'd be happy to walk anyone through the conversion or the electric headlights if they'd like. It's really quite easy, now that I've done it once.

Nice job! Another bright guy on this site came up with an alternative method for existing 67's. He used the motors off of roof lights for a police cruiser. Worked very nice!
