I have a 68 base coupe with black standard interior. The door lock knobs that are in it are black. All the resto houses only sell chrome or plated knobs. They indicate that this is the only color offered. My car is 100% original in the interior. Could they have used the Astro Ventalation knobs instead? Other reasons why mine has black knobs?
Thanks,
Murph

they are available from classic industries CLK801 pg 83 if you've got the parts book. They are different from the astro pulls. The astro pulls are ribbed down the shaft and the door lock knobs are smooth. At least that's the way it looks.

I'll look into Classic Industries. You are right, they do look smooth on the shaft.
The knobs in my car are ribbed all the way down the shaft like the Astro Vent pulls. They were in the car so long that they wore through in the center from all the vibration at the ferrule. One of them literally cut itself in half from wear.
