I have a 88 camaro, and looking to get it painted. I never got a car painted before, and wanted to know if there is anything important I should ask, or look for, or even know if I'am getting ripped or not. I heard bad news about "Maako" what's the deal?

Ask someone with a five year old paint job from whoever how good of a job was done.... if they're still happy get the same painter.

There are about a ton of questions that you could possibly ask. What kind and brand of materials do they use. Do they do a complete sand and buff or just knock down the dirt. How long is it going to take and how much. Does that price include jambs. If you want a nice job, stay away from Maaco and Earl Scheibs. Go to car shows and look at cars and find out who actually did the work, cause its not a company that did the work, its an individual.
