Car was painted recently and trunk key on the 67 Camaro came completely out of the hole in the body. The trunk is still closed - I there an easy way to open the trunk through the empty keyhole using a screw driver or other??
Dont want to damage paint or trunk - appreciate any advice!

Take a flat head screw driver and try and open it that way. If it won`t go in the hole, then your going to have to take the back seat out and climb through that way and remove the flat bar that goes in the slot. Think you`ll need a phillips for that, then you can use the flathead to open the trunk

You should be able to take a screw driver and put it straight in and turn it and it will open. There is a small slot in the latch that you use. You should be able to see it with a flashlight. If you look in most of aftermarket catalog you will see a piece that hold the lock in position and there is a shaft that goes from the lock to the lack. Good luck Jerry
