I have a 69 camaro with monoleaf rear springs, disc brakes up front and drums in the back. Will this tire /wheel combo work without rubbing issues? Torque Thrust II 17x8 w/245/45zr17 98y, bs 4.5 up front. 17x9.5 275/40zr17 98y, bs 6 in the rear. the tires are BFGoodrich G Force t/a's. The bolt pattern is 5x4.75. These were on a 1970 442. Thanks.

I wouldn't take them unless you can try them before you buy them. Bottom line is they are not the perfered backspacing. An 8" wheel in the front needs 4.75 to 5" backspace. The rear needs 5.5 to 5.75" backspace. Even then there are cars that have minor rubbing issues. With those tire sizes the backspace needs to be just about perfect. I would pass on them unless you can trial fit them.

I dont know what kind of set-ups you guys run in the rear, but my 69 camaro has a 15x8 weld wheel with a 4.5" backspacing and fits like a glove with a 28x10.5 M/T slick !!!! They even slightly rub the INSIDE when i take a turn too fast.

5.5" - 5.75" Backspacing on a '69.......HOW ?????

Bgonz69, they are refering to using a 8inch wheel up front and a 9.5inch wheel on the back when using that particular backspacing.
