Hello,Team Camaro members.I'm new here and would like to know what happened to my Z28 yesterday.I slammed the pedal down and soon as it hit 2nd gear it felt like something slammed to the ground. It's an automatic. Now,when I hit the gas hard while taking off it bangs everytime. It feels like it's coming from underneath the shifter. Is it a tranny mount,or what?I did have plugs changed a couple weeks ago and we removed the passenger motor mount to jack the engine up to make ease of replacing plugs but it was put back together properly.Anyone help?

sounds like a broke transmission mount. easy to fix. used to know what wrench size it is... anyways easy fix, It is just a couple bolts to change. Have 2 floor jacks handy. One for car and one to help lifting up the transmission a little bit if you don't have a helper. Just be careful getting under your car. It would also be a good time to service the transmission with new fluid and filter if it is time. I've been thru this numerous times. Hard shifts will break the stock mount over time. Mine usually would last about a year or less. I finall got some poly engine and tranny mounts.
