Does anyone know the biggest wheels tires on the back of a 69. I think I am going to install one of those new 4 link kits from Heidts, but I would really love to fit a 17x11 with a 315 on the back? Wheel (sorry, couldn't resist) it work? I have 12" from inner fender to the lip of the 1/4 panal. Or how about an 18x10 with a 295?

A 315 will not work without minitubbing. I have heard people getting a 295 to fit, but the BS needs to be perfect and they roll the lip.

ive got irs in the back of my 68 and 285s and theyre daaaamn close, depends on how low in the weeds you want to go, also rolling the lip of your fenders is a must.

Also different tire companies vary their actual width a lot so be sure to research your butt off.


And lastly if your doing a heidts 4 link why are you going with big inch rims, if you didnt know almost all 4 links are inheriently bad for handling as they bind with any sway and try to make your entire rear end a sway bar. aside from the quadra link because of the swivel links.
