I'm swapping a 700R4 into my 69 Camaro. I know I need to have the DS shortened about 3" (need to measure for sure). How much should I be looking to spend to have it shortened? I'm thinking $100 to 150 to shorten and balance, but I haven't started checking for prices yet.

It's been about 4 years but I recall about $100 and some change. So your $100 to $150 should be close for the Southeast region.
Edit: I should add that's with new U-joints

Had one done last week. $83.00 and that was labor only. Already had new joints on it.

Shoals Driveshaft, Muscle Shoals, AL did one for me a couple of years ago for $50. Shortened and Balanced, they did a good job. It's located on woodward ave.

Thanks for the help; that's a bit less than I expected. I found a local machine shop that will do it for $45, with balancing.
