Is it OK to paint an aluminum transmission cooler black? Will it reduce its efficiency any? Will the paint even stick that well? If I can paint it, can I find good radiator paint at a local parts store or get the stuff from Eastwood?
THANKS

Painting a matt black will improve the cooling
There is a thread a few months back that discusses how why etc
dont apply thick layer thu

OK I guess it will be an added benefit if it helps cool more, I'm more concerned at this point with making it blend in more and not stick out.

Eastwood radiator paint is the ticket.

I agree with Eastwood’s stuff, I was just hopping to find something good enough locally. If I order from Eastwood it will;
1) Take longer, and
2) Cost more to ship than the can itself.

Pot belly/bbq paint works well...
Thu spraying from a can tends to apply thicker coats...I use an air brush for minium paint thickness..and gets into cnrs well.
U can Mt a whole can into a glass jar...place in hot tap water to evapoate disolved proplents stirring for a few minutes, then use straight in the air brush.

I saw the BBQ paint but was worried about it going on to thick and went ahead and ordered a can of radiator black from Eastwood.
THANKS ALL!
