I got the conversion kit form bowtie overdrives but how do I get the shift linkage at the tranny to connect to the tranny so it will change the gears? The connection points are totaly different.

What year? 67 had rod linkage - 68-69 were cable. (I think)

68 is what I have

I'm assuming you got the www.shiftworks.com conversion kit. If so, it should have every part that is needed to convert your horseshoe shifter to work the 700R4. It sounds like there might be some parts missing.

Thanks I did not inspect that kit close enough; I thought that was just for the shifter itself.
