I think they would have looked good painted to match the console but that wasn't the case. satz28 Aug 7th, 06, 09:57 AM They're always black. When you have a black int, you are all set to go with the color:thumbsup: dschribs Aug 7th, 06, 11:04 AM mm99 Looks like your car has a red interior. Just for further info, here's a vehicle with blue interior. You can see the gauge pod is black... http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/3652/1968/68int3.jpg mnm99 Aug 7th, 06, 11:43 AM Thanks. I'm having my console painted to match the interior ( I'ts blue now) When I get the gauges I will just install them. I want to keep it as stock looking as possible. Just wasn't sure. I ended up picking up a console, shifter and cable all in perfect shape for $150!! Score. Thanks again Steptoe Aug 7th, 06, 01:55 PM Meant to be black..I painted mine interior is dk green. Around the lenses I used model 'chrome' enamel paint using a cotton bud. Definately looks better than the stock black, they now look as if they are actually part of the interior and not an after thought wagonman Aug 7th, 06, 10:55 PM heres mine...... http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c74/1963wagonman/100_3388.jpg mnm99 Aug 8th, 06, 06:01 AM I have an auto.
