68-69 (4)gauge pod. Is it painted the same as the console? or is it kept black?

They're always black.
I think they would have looked good painted to match the console but that wasn't the case.

When you have a black int, you are all set to go with the color:thumbsup:

Looks like your car has a red interior. Just for further info, here's a vehicle with blue interior. You can see the gauge pod is black...

Thanks. I'm having my console painted to match the interior ( I'ts blue now) When I get the gauges I will just install them. I want to keep it as stock looking as possible. Just wasn't sure. I ended up picking up a console, shifter and cable all in perfect shape for $150!! Score.

Thanks again

Meant to be black..I painted mine interior is dk green.
Around the lenses I used model 'chrome' enamel paint using a cotton bud.
Definately looks better than the stock black, they now look as if they are actually part of the interior and not an after thought

I have an auto. Anyone know the correct black for the shifter plate? It looks like a semi gloss. Is it just gloss black?
