The one that's on the car seen better days. the tubes are pretty rusty and not sure cleaning the 10 bolt 8.2 is really worth it.

i know big gear head sells them but he's out of the 10 bolt 8.5 axles right now. where else can i go to pick up a 8.5 with posi that's doesn't have massive rusting on the axle tubes and won't break the bank?

The Moser 12 bolt starts at $1900. I know that's not cheap, but it will last a long long time.

Try combing some car show/swap meets. They always have rears for sale there. You can also try some special interest newspapers.

I bought my 8.5 rebuilt, drum to drum with a 1 year warranty from a guy in Berlin, NJ, near AtCo. He advertises them for $745, which isn't too bad. May be a bit of a haul from LI, but it's probably cheaper than shipping. I can post his contact info when I get home tonight, if you want.

What do you sell them for?

I've been selling them for $1300 plus shipping. That is for a sandblasted housing with fully welded axle tubes and all new parts inside, with 30 spline Eaton posi and 30 spline axles. I'll have to see what the prices are on the parts when I get ready to build more.

Sweet man. next time you build some more give me a shout. I would be very interested. something tells me my stock 8.2 won't hold up to a big block, stick and the bottle.
