Does anyone know if the body of a First Generation Camaro is "Galvanized" ???
Is it just the underside ??

None of the body was galvanized from the factory.
Thgat's one of the reasons they are such rust buckets.

After sandblasting the underside of my body I would have to say that some of the panels are coated/galvanized. If you look at this pic of my original trunk drop off panel, you can see what I'm talking about. I believe this was also on the rockers and floor boards.

I think GM began galvanizing sheetmetal in the early 60s. Rust damage on Camaros is nothing compared to early 60s Chryslers and Fords.
