I was just wondering what Camaro enthusiasts think? Are RS Camaros gaining more popularity these days with their exterior appearance appeal? Will they ever come close to an SS in value since they do have a unique look that other Camaros can not have without the RS PKG. or modifications.
Thanks,
Jason

To each their own Jason is the common thought. I love the RS look and thats why I bought one. As far as coming close to the SS in value? I doubt it, simple math says there are 300 million people in the U.S. and given the chance to buy either of them, more people would buy the SS for the performance thrill than would buy the RS for the appearance, in my opinion of course. But then thats why they made the SS/RS so people could enjoy both too :)

"Thats RS/SS"
I thought it was SS/RS?! Can someone link me to the article/site that states the correct usage?
Thanks!

My dad always called his an RS/SS that he bought in 67. Besides, the RS/SS sounds better when saying it than does SS/RS IMO.

Always knew it as RS/SS as well. And i think the RS's should without a doubt bring bigger dollars than the SS because....well...because thats what i have of course. :D

Jason, I just put a down payment on an RS/SS. I aksed opinions on it because of all the controvery over originality and matching numbers. (see the thread) I too like the RS package but wanted an SS also so I looked for an original RS/SS 396 and hope this turns out to be the real mccoy. It has an X-22 code which I really wanted to confirm status. Any matching numbers are just a plus for me. I traveling to Florida this week to pick it up.

So you put a downpayment down, then ask our opinion? Oops, in my opinion, esp seeing my response to the other thread....

Okay here's my opinion of "labeling"

First you need context (a place and time) so the year goes first

SO: 1967, 1968, 1969; et al

To finish it you need THE BEST Information:

Camaro

Then to fill in the middle you list the options least important to first, those dealing with horsepower stay closest to the model, those with cosmetic appeal closest to the year.

So for example: 1967 RS/SS 350 Camaro.

but I could be wrong ;)
