....this weekend. Makes quite a difference in the feel of the car. Install was pretty straightforward - had to do a little tweaking here and there but not too bad. Luckily for me, my brother (Ron454 - he of the wimpy Nova) can weld upside down and sideways - I can't. We (he) welded them in the back as designed, and bolted them in in the front. We also fully welded them to the "H" brace for added rigidity. I'll try and get some pictures up later this week, although the thought of crawling back under there isn't too thrilling. Happy to answer any questions, too.

Glad to hear the install went pretty smooth. Please don't forget to post pics as a lot of us are still waiting to see what these look like installed.

Here are a few pictures, such as they are - my camera is a BPOS too.

As I said above, although not called for, we welded the connectors at the "H" brace as well. If you install a set, you'll see that it makes perfect sense.

Bolt in connection to the sub - you can weld if you choose to.

Front spring pockets can be removed without touching the connectors.

Connectors welded to the "H" bracing on the unibody.

How they look from the back

...and the side

You can definitely see them from the sides at a distance - they look business-like to me. I's all a matter of opinion.

I'm definitely pleased with the change in ride quality - I thought my convert was solid before, but this takes it to another level.

BPOS out.

Thanks for the pics Al! I can't wait to get a set- have to put them on my wish list for now. I love the convertible, but all the body flexing is driving me crazy.

Lookin' good Al!! Looks like all you have left to do to the ol' "BPOS" is finish repaneling the exterior with 67 sheetmetal and slap in some groovy vent windows and you'll be styling!! :D

do you think different types of sfc will effect the car differently? I had a pair made and do not notice any change in handeling.

When I heard about these on this site, i ordered a set from my Jobber... they were put on backorder about a month and a half ago... i kina forgot about them... untill i saw the box leaning against my desk on wednesday morning... unfortunately this job is "back burnered" right now... i've got some weird noises coming from the trans... They look real good though... very nice quality I'm sure they'll do wonders for the ride!!

Thanks for those pics!!
