I just rotated the tires on my '06 Colarado. Lifting the rear tires off, the axle moved so much I thought lug nuts were lose. I was suprised at the play in the axle bearings. Is this right? I seem to be hearing a little bearing noise, I think.

If its lateral movement, its normal. All GM cars I have owned have been like this. If you can wiggle the tire around...you have a problem.

Lateral = in and out
wiggle = up and down or front to back

It is up and down. I thought the lug nuts were loose.:eek:

Dropping it off at the dealer in the morning. Only 6000 miles. I have noticed a faint bearing sound going down the road. I thought it was tires until I rotated Saturday. Thanks for the help.
