Why would anyone retag a 68? There's no data there anyway????

Those later van nuys tags have smaller flatter numbers. They look very different than the earlier ones. probably a real 69 tag

To add to rich's comment, the 69 LOS tags have pretty much the same info given. No real point to change other than color/int combo.
I have a car in which the tag is very faint/flat and tough to read. No doubt its real, just likely that someone went over it with a sander.

Hey fellas the 69 was a flat plate no round edges just sharp conners the numbers were raised but all the writing on the plate was bearly visible smooth number clear and raised maybe and vmd retag? You could not read any of the writing? The plate was even longer than a regular tag maybe 1/2inch.The 68 he said was numbers matching and never of the car come on you push in the tag and it was buckled not flat against the wall?Had RS door panels console but many other things missing.Just though somebody new these car any way it scared my brother in law of.
