Hi All just switched to a one wire 100 amp alt.

2 quick questions.

1)At a stop sign volts drop to about 12 and then when I start back up they jump up to 13.8..is that normal.

2)When a hit my turn signal the colt guage drops in sync with the blinker...is that normal as well?

Thanks
Chris

No, it is not. Optimally, you want the battery to be charging at idle also. Causes, could be the alternator brand, pulley ratio, and how it is wired.

If the voltmeter is wired to fuse box turn signal circuit, then yes it is.
