View Full Version : Fan Wiring

HI All, the current owner of my car has the electric fan set up to run at all time with the key on. The fan has no marking so I can not tell what type it is to find a diagram.

The current setup is as follows.
The fan seems to have a relay built into the top.
There is a large battery wire wired to (B)
There is a ground (G) as well as a ignition hot wire.(+)
There is a coil of wire from the relay that goes into the radiator fins I assume that is the temp switch.

There are 2 empty spade terminals on the relay one labeled (C) and one labeled (M). Any Idea how to wire those 2 terminals so the fan doesn't constantly run?

Do you have a pic of the relay? I am not familiar with those markings on a relay ( I use Bosch )

The M is for a manual on option, C is for the air conditioning connection. Here are the instructions for a Flexalite fan:
