I was curious to the value of a short block I have here, its a 350 out of a 1st week of December build 69 Camaro with a 4 speed. Its 30 over if I remember right. Right now its complete with a set of Edelbrock heads and a 2004R CPT tranny. I'm thinking of selling off the block to someone who needs it but I would like to sell it all. This isnt a ad I'm just trying to find out if I should sell the short block assembly here to someone who could use it in their Camaro. If I change directions on my vert I wont be needing this anymore.
Thanks,
Mike

I have a similar engine and never considered it to have any particular value respective to coming out of a Camaro.

Wll I'm pulling mine out of my 69 with a build date of 1st week of December 68. I just thought someone might want one for a Camaro restoration. Its a from my 69 RS/SS 4 speed and all the casting numbers coincide. Just the vin would be off but a block decking would remove that.

If the motor is original to your car, you should REALLY reconsider. JMO. Mike

Big Mike,
I have thought about that but, all it would be is in my way. I have NO plans to restore it back to original nor do I have any plans to sell it. I have gotten to a point where I'm used to kicking myself in the *** for making mistakes. The car has gotten to a point where why ever go back? Plus I know I wont its to dang much nicer to drive now. No I have not cut the body but everything else is updated. Last thing I don't care on originality except on certain models, Z28, Copo's or big block SS's. If someone else could/can use it hey great. I dont like where the values of these cars have gone anyway. If I ever sold my vert I know I could not afford another one. People who like to ge into this hobby cant afford to. Heck look at what clone cars are going for, pro-tourers. I for one just dont care on the value unless I had to replace it.
