I ordered a bunch of parts the other day from NPD. They assured me that they would arrive Thursday. We do so much biz with UPS that we have the ability to see all of our inbound packages for 5 days out. Well I checked on my packages and they are nowhere to be found for the next 5 days. I called NPD to make sure that they were in fact shipped and that they were shipped via UPS. The guy said they were shipped and he would track my package for me. He came back on the line and said that they will be delivered today. So I asked him for the tracking number and he said that he couldnt give it to me. I asked why, he said company policy. Has anyone ever heard of anything so ridiculous? Instead of me calling up and wasting their valuable time, I could just track the package myself. Anyway, I just thought it was very strange. Up until now I have nothing but good things to say about NPD.

I have always been ultra impressed with NDP - and have found my shipments to arrive faster than estimated.

Sorry to hear of your poor experience, hope goods arrive soon.

I would wait until it wasn't Thursday any longer before you stop having good things to say... My understanding is large quantity shippers have accounts with a tracking number much like you describe where all their outbound is tracked. You can't blame them if that's all they have and are not wanting to give the number out...

While I hate the fact NPD will not give us a pennies dicount no matter how much we buy, I have to say their inventory and shipping is good enough for us to pay retail+ when we need things from time to time as they are only 60 miles away, and Classic Industries is 3000 miles.
