onovakind67 Aug 17th, 06, 01:34 PM Now I can get that DZ302 for $75 complete....
boodlefoof Aug 17th, 06, 03:52 PM Wow... maybe I could get the LS1/T56 project started sooner than anticipated! Virginia Beach is just a couple of hours away...
I really wish they had a stock catalog online so I could figure out if it is worth the trip.
Farm Boy Aug 17th, 06, 04:11 PM I snagged a 1967 327 long block with 462 heads from an Impala the local Pick-N-Pull a couple of years ago. I paid only $95 for it! Both the block and crank had never been machined. In fact I don’t think the engine had ever been apart. Although it is like going to a third world country, I enjoy treasure hunting at Pick-N-Pull.
Edit: I also got a clean 8.5" rear end from a 1975 Pontiac Ventura at P-N-P that is now in my 67. $75

I got my 8.5 rear axle from a 75 Olds Omega. I think I paid about 80 bucks for it. But then adding axles, posi, gears, brakes etc. I think I stuffed 1400 into it :)

I resemble that remark :D
I was really ticked when that notice of a sale arrived in my e-mail box - the week after I spent over $300 on parts there the weekend before :mad:
Then I noticed it was for you 'other team members' and I felt better ...
I too have found some great parts for all our vehicles there - just saw a disc braked, posi, 3.73:1, 8.8" in an 'Exploder' last week in Stockton P-N-P and had to be restrained to keep me from ripping it out for a project ... :sad:
Knee pads are sorta a good idea - I think I tend to actually crawl throught there most of the time :o
Amazing amount of later 80's/early 90's trucks with 350/700's (post '86) are starting to show up now - saw three very nice 'donors' on my last trip.
Only one Firebird with an intact TPI set-up in the yard last week - several other Z's/Birds missing throttle-body, injectors, runners & etc. Seems like lots of the late 80's/early 90's 'Birds' are showing up lately.
All but one of the donors from my 'super-secret' list was already missing it's 200-4R and that one had the pan pulled and the valve body was gone.
Just trying to get others some deals on parts they may need;
John
MrDanB Aug 18th, 06, 06:18 PM Hey John, If you see any 57 Chevy pickup parts in there, let me know :D

kz1000ltd Aug 18th, 06, 07:16 PM The pick and pulls in Dallas are chock full of 3rd generation Camaros and Firebirds, in fact, I would venture to say there are more of those cars in there than anything else!!!!! Most of them have alot of good parts too, alot of pickin' and pullin' to do!!!!!!
