OK, Doug G., as I have plenty of those Zero Bucks that they advertise on TV. You reckon I can buy any with that? Thanks for the welcome.

I have a 69 X-55 SS350 that has had the 3 speed replaced with a 4 speed. After 11 years of neglect, I have a long project ahead of me as much of the sheet metal needs to be replaced. Fortunately, I work at a power plant and one of the welders can't wait to help me. He has done several Camaros for his brother and once he saw this one, he was on board. Excellent welder, and he probably won't charge me time. If he can weld steam piping that can handle 950 degree, 1000 psi steam, he will have no trouble with this. I have seen him in action at work and his welding is excellent. You cannot tell where he starts or stops. I am glad to see so many parts available now that were not available back then. I want hide away headlights and console gauges bad!!!!!!!!

I also have a 66 Olds Cutlass Convertible that my 89 year father just gave me. I plan on a full restore of it once I finish the Camaro. He has restored it somewhat and it runs great, but being old school, cut many corners. I will always consider that his car.

Sounds like you're going to really get into it. Having somebody to work with you on this, thats a good thing. Good luck.
