I got a price from the local trim shop of 150 bucks to put a vinyl top on my 69.

The car had one and it was removed and the studs were shaved, so I was planning on using the screw in studs offered by Rick's.

I was thinking if I buy the moldings, taped them to the car the way they are supposed to be and tape along both sides of the moldings and take the moldings off, I should be able to center the studs in the area between the two lines of tape and be good to go.

They want the paint scuffed up, and I was going to pull the windows out to paint the car anyway.

How does that sound?
