Note that the old style 15" "deep dish" rims will stick WAY out of the fenders. Absolutely will not work in front, and only useable in the back if you're up high.

My current ride has 16" front, 17" back, with "normal" offsets.
If you poke around my website, my old 67 had 14x7 standards in front, and 15x8 deep dish in back w/L60's. I used some pretty sizable fiberglass flares, and cut out a whole bunch of fender to make em fit.

15x7's all around: 215x60 on front, 245x60 on rear. These are regular Cragar SS's.

cool, I always loved Cragars, some great pics!

As the original post specified "deep dish" note that every pic on this page is a standard offset wheel.

Here is a pic with a 15X8 deep dish. Ended up replacing them with the standard offset shown the pic above. Had 15X10 deeps back in 73. I thought they were the greatest thing. Stuck out a mile with 150lbs of air in the shocks. Yep, things have changed...

I didn't realize they would stick out so I'll probably stay with the standards. Great pics, any more?

Bit off subject...
Being in NZ, Camaros are not that common...let alone 1st gens..
I have never actually seen the light blue colour (like mine above) other than pics.
Mine is not a Chevy blue, it is a 1988 nissian saphire blue with a purple and dk red power perle added to the clear..
On a sunny day, it always seemed to me (pics only) the chevy blue looked a little washed out/lacked depth. Adding the perles gave it depth, and under street/artifial lights at night it realy glows..at its best.
I wish there was another blue chevy around here to actually compare.

I know I am a little late on this post but
I got rid of my 16 inch Torque thrust II's (everyone has TT's now dont they?)
and decided to go back to my old school.
Bought a set of crager 15 X 10's (standard offset but remember, its a 10" rim) for the rear (gonna go with old N50-15's) with spinner caps.
and am in the process of buying a set of 15 X 4.5 (skinny) for the fronts with spinners, gonna leave white wall letters in. I can't wait.
If I remember, ill come back and post a pic here when I get it done or at least the back ones done.

one thing worth noting is that the new large diameter cragars aren't one size fits all unilug anymore. They fit one and only one bolt pattern, using (very exoensive) tapered sead lugs. Next best thing to hubcentric.

Very nice rims...anyone have a set of Cragars for sale? 14 or 15 inch? I don't know if I'd go with something as radical as those 15 X 10s...look great though!

hey Terry! Long time no see (Teddy, aka Osso12 on classic-camaro.com)
Yeah, the lugs are a little different. The washers they give you now adays are offset. Ie, they are not completely round. They are oval, and they give you some round washers too. Not sure what thats all about. These are the same rims I ordered for my wifes 91 RS. They stick out on her 91, I can imagine what they are going to do on my 68 when I get em on.
Terry. If I have too much problems with em on my68rs, (pun intended)
I will be pulling them off and either going with a set of weld wheels, or another set of 17 inch TT's.
I had a set of 16 inch TT's that looked real good last time around, and the fit great on a 68 without any rubbing issues whatsoever.
I had 225 50 16 on the front and 245 50 16 on the back.
Ill keep yall posted on how it goes.
Im gonna try these rear ones out first with the N50's before I buy the front 15 X 4.5"
Ive got a set of the new 200# high jackers. If they give me any rubbing issues at all on the car that I can't compensate for, off the 15 x 10's come. :clonk:

Teddy, I didn't know you were 'MY68RS'! Do you still have the black Camaro? I'd like to see a pic of your car with those big meats on it! Check out my signature, I have a couple pics of my gold '68 Camaro at the bottom of my web page, I threw $10K in the engine/trans. I'd love to get a good set of Cragars for it, with a gold exterior I need chrome!! There are many pressures for me to sell the car, but so far I'm hangin' in there...

You better hang on to that car!
Did you end up selling the red one?
I still have my68rs with black and white stripes.
As soon as i can get the 50s bought, ill get some pics up here.
Good to hear from ya. :waving:

Yeah, sux not having a garage.
I have donated an entire bathroom for a parts room just for my 68 camaro..
Its not quite full yet...

Yep, done that. When I was living back in Mi. about 25 yrs ago, I would take my good rims off and they would sit in the kitchen until spring. It's hard to find a wife that understands that kind of stuff.
