i have a 1997 camaro ss with the lt1 and yea now it keeps throwing a emissions code.... some secondary air injection system malfunction code.... i erased it a couple times and it keeps coming back.... any ideas, vacuum lines look good so im stumped.... typical gm emissions bull**** i used to see this code all the time when i worked at autozone never heard how to fix it..... any help will be appreciated thanks!

No room for cussing and ranting here, you'll find the guys very helpful when keeping it respectful.
Sounds like you have learned you have a problem and clearing the codes won't make the problems go away. Being this is a 1st gen site be patient and someone might be able to help, if you know the codes call the chevy dealer or other shop that works on computer cars and ask to talk to a tech. Tell him what codes you're throwing and see if they can help. It's been said here a lot, it's often less expensive to pay for some work than just throwing new parts at the problem based on guessing...

Sounds like the check valves on the air tubes. there are 2 of them that go to the egr I'm pretty sure. had this code about every 18 months with the wifes car and a 5 min. change job and the code won't return. It is the carbon build up inside the valve. I guess you could clean it with carb cleaner to check it.
This valve screws on the metal air tube and has a rubber hose on the other side of the valve 1 over each of the valve covers black in color.
